What a week

This week was full of finding and teaching and cool stuff!!!! I'll make a list of the cool stuff:)

1. We drank really good juice…like really good juice.

2. We picked up my former companion’s new companion.

3. We found 22 newbies (super cool newbies)!

4. We had 9 people visit church on Sunday!

5. I got super sun burned and I am turning into leather.

6. I had lots of good laughs with my new comp. She's cool!

Sorry this e-mail was hardly anything. This week went slow because of the transition and it was a little different too. We had a leadership conference as well, which was awesome! I learned a lot! Also I am way excited for general conference:)

Emergency Transfer

So this week was good. It was the last week with my comp, Sister Vargas, and I didn't even know....

We had a competition in our district this week to see who could do the most contacts.  Sister Vargas and I were definitely winning. We had a day of 44 contacts and I was just LOVING it!! It was the coolest thing to talk with SO many young people who are interested in having the world’s greatest gift. I am loving the work!  Holy cow!!

We worked with Sister Bangerter (president's wife) for a little while this week and it was a good time. She has a very sweet spirit!

Last thing, Sister Ferreira, the other sister in my house, had to return home this week because of her back problems.  We knew this would cause an emergency transfer some where in the mission... but we had no idea it would happen within our house. Later that night President called me and told me that he would like to call me as the new sister training leader of Piracicaba!! My companion is now the other American that was living in our house, and I am super excited to start a new work with her!!

Learning and more learning and more learning

Good week again here in Piracicaba SIÃO! Transfer calls happened and I am staying here for a 4th transfer with Sister Vargas!!!! :) I am way excited to see what these next 6 weeks bring!

Nothing major happened... I think the coolest thing was going to the temple! We weren't able to enter because we went with a pesquisadora (investigator), but just the spirit of the waiting room was something I needed. If you have access to a temple close to you... take advantage and gooooo!!

Thank you for all of the prayers and emails from everyone:) I really appreciate it!!!! Even if I’m unable to answer, please know that I love them all and always read them!

Blue Popsicle: I ate Dominos pizza this week. So good guys! So good.

My "love note" came from transfers. Staying here another transfer with my comp was EXACTLY what I was asking for. Goes to show that God answers and blesses us with what we are needing. GOD IS SO GOOD!

Sister Walstad

5 men = 5 miracles

This week was amazing, but another it’s another crunch on time, so this will be quick.  This week we had one of the coolest miracles!

We did a fast on Sunday for our pesquisadores in sacrament, and we were imagining that everyone would go.  We were so excited and pumping each other up, and we were expecting at least the 5 that had promised they would go.  We woke up on Sunday and said another prayer, then went to the Capela (chapel). 

We walked in a saw 5 men sitting together.  The bishop then told us that they just walked in all alone, separate from each other.  They just showed up!  I was in shock!  At the same time I knew that it was God blessing us for the work, and that the power of fasting is real.  One more pesquisadora came, but that was it.  Our minds were blown!  And these men are so cool! 

We were able to talk a little with them and teach them the Restoration.  What a cool and powerful experience.  I felt like I received the gift of tongues more in that moment than I have ever felt it.  We are very excited to see how everything works out with them.
