The "miracle" baptism (Feb. 25, 2019)

The way the Lord works in our lives is incredible. He brings about miracle after miracle in our lives. He lets us grow and lets us rely on Him and then picks us up right before we fall. I love my Savior and am grateful to be His representative here in Brazil.

I hope you all continue on with a perfect brightness of hope like taught in 2 Nephi 31:20.

This week we had a miracle baptism… The first time I met the man he just argued with us about the Bible, but in the end the Lord touched his heart and he entered the waters of baptism:) It was such a cool experience to baptize him!!

That's all I have time to write this week, but here are some pics for y’all:)

Homen de fé (Feb. 18, 2019)

Hello everyone! I am taking advantage of my time here this week talking a little more with my family, so this email will be short. But this week was honestly so full of miracles.

First off, we had Jose´s baptism, which was so great! He has cancer in his neck and can't get water in the hole that helps him breathe. But he just went for it. He basically said, "God will provide." Very cool.

Next miracle. Our pesquisador, Carlos Roberto, stopped smoking. Just straight up stopped. He called and had me guess how many cigarettes he smoked one day, and I guessed 3 (thinking it was a low number) and he said, "what the heck! Your faith is so weak… I smoked 0!" He is planning on being baptized on Saturday!

This new rule of communication will be saving me. I love Jesus. It is definitely my love note/ blue popsicle this week. Love you all!

Bdays and Bdays

Another week.. tchau!

This week we had Multi Zone and I'll send Pics in the end of this email:) we learned lots! Good time!

A miracle happened this week. IT RAINED, and it was like 60 degrees I think… maybe!! I don't know degrees anymore but I was cold! I had to use my blanket at night and everything. MIRACLE PEOPLE! But then the next day Brazil decided to show it's true identity again and I fried in the 115-degree sun.

This week we also had a lot of “b-days”;) not birthdays (only one) but “B days” Baptismal days (get it??) We have 5 dates right now!! And they all need lots of prayers and strength. They all have their personal struggles that make them doubt. Their names are José, Carlos Roberto, Sirlene, Benedito, and Isabel. They're all super awesome:)

But we also actually had one bday and it was my companion's!!! She turned 20!! We made a little party for her and it was a good time:)

My "love note" this week came when President called me to help me out with some things and gave me an idea of what to study. This is what I learned: "Your faith is never insufficient to bring about miracles and receive answers to prayers."

I think many times we pray and expect our faith to magically fix the problem, but that's not how the whole faith thing works. Our will is probably just a little different than that of The Father. My advice to all of you is to remember Him and trust in His plan. ALWAYS!

Blue Popsicle: Getting Jose's baptism all figured out! Next week I should have a pic of his big dayyyy!!!

February arrived!!!

Time is so weird. It passes so quickly, but so slowly at the same time. This email is gonna be a little shorter- just some highlights and stuff:)

My new comp is the best thing that has happened to me in the "mish" in a long time. We're sad that our first week already ended (haha!)  Usually everyone says "only one week has passed and we still have 5 weeks of the transfer," but we said the opposite which is a good sign:) Her name is Sister Vargas and she has 3 months in the mission. She's good company!

We have 4 people with a baptismal date and we have tons of people with potential that we're going to talk with this week:) We are super optimistic about this transfer. Also praying to not “die” from the record high heat we're getting over here in Piracicaba.

My "love note" from God this week again came in a scripture in 2 Nephi 9:41.  It says at the end of the path, that is narrow but perfect, we will find our Savior waiting. Not anyone else, but HIM. I am so grateful to know of this blessing, that one day I will be able to fall into His arms and thank Him for carrying me through the hardest times.

BLUE POPSICLE: My companion… For sure.

My new comp! Sister Vargas... She's Brasilian btw
